I can't open a shared file because it was sent to the wrong email address

Hi there . I recently received a file from someone through Dropbox but because the email that the file was sent to is different than the mail connected to my Dropbox account it will not allow for me to upload the file. I am in need of this file now .

If you were sent a shared file to the wrong email address, you'll have to ask the owner to resend it to the right one.

 

This is for security and privacy purposes, so that not just anyone can access the content that has been shared.
