I don't see the blue box icon on folders showing that it's a Space

Advanced Collaborator | Level 16

Hello

I just noticed that the blue box icons which indicate something has been added in the Dropbox space are not shown anymore on the desktop app. You can only see it on the website. Has Dropbox made the change? Please let me know.

Thank you.

Re: Blue Box Icon

Thanks for letting me know, @jazzmeg1

It looks like you're running the beta version of the desktop app, which is recognizable by the xx.3.xx, instead of the xx.4.xx.

For this reason, could you go to your General tab online and uncheck the option to "Include me in early releases"?

This will make sure that the app does not automatically update to the beta build after you install the latest stable build.

Once you do that, reinstall the latest stable version of the Dropbox desktop application and let it re-index any pending changes.

Let me know how it goes, cheers!

Hey @jazzmeg1, let's see what we can find on this together.

I'll just need a bit more information to make sure that we're on the same page, for example:

  • What do you see when you hover over the Dropbox icon that's next to your computer's clock?
  • Have you tried rebooting your computer?

Keep me posted!

Hi @Lusil

  • What do you see when you hover over the Dropbox icon that's next to your computer's clock?:  104.3.168
  • Have you tried rebooting your computer?: Yes but no change.

Thank you.

Thank you for your reply.

I have been using the beta version for a long time and had no problem showing the blue box icon.

It suddenly stopped showing them just recently.

Anyways, I will check out the latest version.

Thanks!!!
