Re: Sync Question

I have a question about my Dropbox folder syncing

I Have 2 PCs, lets call them pcA and pcB. I use pcA all the time for work which all backs up constantly to Dropbox.

Two weeks ago i had issues with pcA and had to reinstall windows. For 2 weeks i have been using pcB while pcA was getting sorted out. I was accessing work files on dropbox from pcB. Now that pcA is fixed, once i reinstalled dropbox is there anything i need to do to ensure the updated files on dropbox are synced back to pcA. I want to make sure that when i sync pcA again to be up to date with work form the past 2 weeks that the older files on pcA from 2 weeks ago are not going to overwrite the new files that were updated from pcB.

hope this makes sense?

Cheers in advance.

Hey @GeNOS, thanks for reaching out to us on the Dropbox Community.

In general, the version of the files that should sync down are the ones you see on the website.

However, if you want to have some peace of mind, if you have a Dropbox folder locally, you can rename it and then install the desktop app.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions. Cheers!
