I was using smart sync and it disappeared from all devices. Last night, I removed Dropbox from my desktop computer (iMac) and reinstalled it. When I log in and follow the instructions to turn on smart sync in settings, there is no smart sync there.
Can you help?
Hello Jeff; how are you today?
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the Smart Sync feature; let's have a look into this
Just to make sure we have a concrete view of the matter, could you also send me a screenshot of the desktop app's exact status and how the files within your Dropbox Folder look like (omitting any personal information please)?
Thanks in advance and welcome to our Community @Jeff43!
First, thanks for your prompt reply. This has been perplexing for me as I was an early adopter of Dropbox and have been using it for years in my work and personal life.
I should say, that I was in error about all devices. My laptop is working normally. It is my desktop editing computer that is missing the relevant setting to turn it on.
Here is what the files look like.
Thanks for the speedy response Jeff - it's most appreciated.
As I don't see your screenshots, could you use the 'Photos' button as shown below to attach them in your next reply?
Sorry to heat that @lingerdue. Could you post the requested screenshots so I can investigate further?
Thanks in advance and welcome to our Community too!
Thanks for the screenshots peeps
@Jeff43: Could you post a full-screen so I can check the files' icons too please?
@lingerdue: I'm not clearly seeing the desktop app's status. Could you let me know what it reads when you hover your mouse over it?
Thanks for your swift responses!
