I have some questions about computer backup

Yesterday I tried for the first time to try the desktop backup option.

Since I did it, too many issues....:

There is annoying .ini file on my desktop.

If I delete it, the laptop crahes.

I deleted a specific folder inside a folder that was placed on my desktop, and it deleted the main folder.

Luckily, I was able to recover it, but can't understand why it happens.

Also, why deleting files from the cloud, will also delete it on my desktop?

I understand that it's being stored on a cloud, but other services allows the user to select where to delete from.

I'm considering upgrade and purchase more storage space, to the plus version, but I begin to think that there are better services out there...

I understand your frustration over using the computer backup feature.

The ini file should be a hidden file, which might also relate to how the Dropbox desktop application syncs the folder. Regarding the main folder being deleted, did you delete it from the site or the computer?

As Dropbox is a syncing service, any files you delete from the site will also delete from any connected devices in their Dropbox folder.
