I just updated dropbox after 2 years of using it offline on my computer and it's deleted all my file

I just updated dropbox after 3 years of using it offline on my computer and it's deleted all my files from the last 2 years.

I installed the latest version of the Dropbox app and it synchronized with the dropbox folder on the computer.

The synch on has now deleted all the new files that were made and the latest files are now from 2018

I have now lost 3 years of work. These files are not in the Recycle Bin they are just disapeared

How do I undo this?

Hey @steve34, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community.

I'm afraid that if you were using the Dropbox folder offline for so long, the files you were creating and updating, never actually synced to your Dropbox account.

And when you updated Dropbox, the app updated your Dropbox folder to match what you have in your account online.

If the deleted files are not here or in your recycle bin/trash, there is a small chance you might find them in the Dropbox cache folder.

Are you using a Windows or a Mac computer?

Keep me posted!
