I lost files from a shared folder, the events show "you removed your access". Any ideas?

I woke up today to contiue my thesis work in the share folder, in which I found nothing. 

I checked the events, and dropbox states: "you removed your access to the shared folder", and so I have no other back ups. 

please advise what's going on, and how can I restore these files.

I'm pretty sure it says that even is someone else removes your access to a shared folder. Were you not the owner of the folder?

 

Check your Shared page to see if the folder is listed. If it is, you may be able to add it back to your account. If not, you'll need to contact the owner of the folder and ask to be reinvited to it.

the folder is shared with other people.

 

Can you confirm who removed the files? because I cannot check from my side, and there is nothing in the shared page.

Hey there @Maze94!

 

We wouldn't be able to clarify that any further than the info your events page shows you I'm afraid.

 

If you know who else the folder was shared with, you can ask them to re-share the folder with you as Rich mentioned. If they were also removed, then it could be that the owner of the folder unshared it.
