I made a new folder online, how can I make it sync locally to my computer?

New online folder - how to make it local? Smart sync is enabled but not given as an option under ...   It seems that you have to designate a folder for smart sync from the desktop app but I created the new folder online. How can I get it to sync to my desktop?

Re: Smart Sync new online folder

Hey there @lindachaffin2, I hope you're having a good start to your week so far!

Just so I have a better idea of you current set up, can you just clarify for me if the folder that you created is appearing within the local Dropbox folder? Or are you only able to see the folder in your account online?

If the folder is appearing in the local Dropbox folder on your computer, but has a grey cloud icon, then you can make the folder local by right clicking it and choosing "Smart Sync - Local".

If you're only able to see the folder online, then it could be a different issue here. In this case, can you first check if there are any incompatible characters in the folder name?

You can see a full list of these characters from here.

Let me know and we can go from there!
