I've received a number of messages that my Dropbox account is nearly full.

I have received a number of messages that my Dropbox account is nearing full capacity. I am not a big user of Dropbox and I do not need the suggested capacity of 2 TB. it is something that I will never ever require. So it looks like I will just "freeze" my Dropbox account.

I presently use 6.01GB of 7.25GB.

So the 2TB is not an option for me.

Re: Space and Storage

Dropboxer

Hi there @Liner47, I hope you're having a good start to the week so far!

Even if your account reaches full capacity, you'll still have full access to your files and folders in your account. The main issue that you might run into really is the desktop app not being able to sync any new changes or additions.

Also, I can suggest checking your notification settings here and unchecking the relevant option if you'd no longer like to receive email notifications about this.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Many thanks Daphne,

I will live with my limitations for now.

I do not require large storage so there is no point in upgrading.

Upgrading would be too expensive for my limited use and I would never reach that capacity.

Is there any other way I could free up space other than deleting files.

I have previously deleted some "old" files.

Thanks for getting back to me here @Liner47!

Other than deleting files, if you have any shared folders in your account that you no longer need access to, you can remove these from your account with the steps outlined here to free up some space.

Also, perhaps you can increase your storage for free with some of the suggestions here.

I hope this helps!
