Dropbox will not let me manage backup in 'Preferences. I want to stop Documents and Downloads backing up to dropbox. When I click 'Stop backup' a box appears with 'Couldn't stop backup' in red letters. Suggests that I retry. No matter how often I try I get the same result.
I'm just replying to this as I'm having exactly the same issue. I no longer wish to back up my desktop, documents and downloads and I am still getting the error message despite restarting my computer. It would be great if somebody could provide a solution to this problem.
