I was trying to upload files onto a shared folder and now my dropbox is full

I tried uploading some files from a shared folder onto my dropbox, clicked "Save to Dropbox" and now I'm out of space (I have a basic account). If I delete those files, does that mean they'll be deleted from my team's shared folder as well? I don't want to do that, I just want to make room in my dropbox.

Hi @drevolved, thanks for posting on the Community!

As you've discovered, shared folders take up space on your Dropbox account.

If you want to remove the folder from your account, you can simply delete it as it is, and it will no longer take up space since it isn't added any more.

This won't affect the folder for anyone else added to it, provided you don't delete individual files inside the folder.

If you need any more details, feel free to message back!
