Is _My Paper Doc a virus in my shared folder? How did it get added?

I shared a folder on Dropbox with someone I dont know. After sharing the folder with them I noticed a file there called _My Paper Doc. I was not sure what this file was so I didnt open it. Can this file be Malacious virus? and can someone you are sharing Dropbox folder with drop in infected virus files or bugs in the folder that can potentially harm or infect my computer with a virus?

Hey @arib, thanks for checking in with us!

If you added a user to a shared folder and gave them editing access to it, they'll be able to add, edit, and delete files within it. In this case, it seems like they may have added a Paper doc.

You can check out more info about changes that happened to your account and, more specifically, the shared folder from your events page

Finally, I'd recommend having a look at this article which talks about how to stay safe against phishing and viruses.

Hope this helps to some extent!
