Hello all,
i have a large file containing around 14000 audio file (recording), and i have at team to listen to those recording randomly using google sheet.
the team have to open the shared folder and search for the file name, but when searching on a file rank more than 100 they have to scroll down to show the files and research and so on, they are taking alot of time scrolling and on some point the website crush.
i have the name of all files.
my question is there any way to write a direct link to download the file directly using the file name that i already have?
Many thank in advance
If that's the case, then you'd need to create individual shared links to each file, and not use the shared folder link.
Currently, there isn’t a way to generate shared links automatically or in bulk, though it might be possible using the Dropbox API.

Hi @Emad Naimat, thanks for joining the Community!
Have you tried using the searchbar on the site, or the Dropbox desktop application to quickly locate the files?
Are the files also shared via a shared link to the folder, or just a shared folder?
Keep me posted!

Hi,
i shared the folder link, any one with the link can view the files but when search you have to scroll down, i tried to make adirect link but didn't worked.
Generally, if there’s a shared link to a folder, you can extrapolate the shared links to the files by using the overall folder link, and then adding the file file to the end of the link itself.
Try clicking one of the files there, so you can see the link, and then you can modify your search (or in the Google Sheet) to show the full URL for the file.

Hi Jay,
thank you for youe support so far.
i tried this and it works only for the recorde thet already loaded on the webpage, if the file need to screoll down the link will not work.
If a link to a folder looks like this:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/987u032178547/kmn23980ndagsa?dl=0
Then a link to a file in that shared folder would look like this:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/987u032178547/kmn23980ndagsa?dl=0&preview=mytestfile.mp3
Are you saying that this wouldn't work if the page is too long and needs to scroll down?

Hi jay,
Exactly, if the page is not loaded, then the audio file shows then disappear, then return to the folder.
i have to scroll down.
If that's the case, then you'd need to create individual shared links to each file, and not use the shared folder link.
