Is there a way to disable version history?

New member | Level 2

Hello, is there a way to disable or at least shorten the number of days for a particular file's version history.

Thanks!

Hi @DragonAir; thanks for joining our Community!

I'm afraid there's no such option at this time, as version history of your files is dependent on your account's plan. For example, Dropbox Basic, Plus, and Family accounts can recover any file edits or deletions made within the last 30 days while this extends to 180 days for the Professional and Business plans.

That said, you can post your idea in the relevant section of our Community so others can upvote it to show their interest.

I hope this helps!
