When I start the computer in the morning I get the following message from dropbox:
"Dropbox needs to change permissions for the Folder: /Users/[name]/Dropbox
Enter your password to allow this"
I do this and every thing works. I have delinked and reinstalled idropx on my Imac using Big Sur and it still happens

Did you upgrade to Big Sur and perhaps change your username for your Mac device? Could you try installing the app using this link to see if this helps?
