When I start the computer in the morning I get the following message from dropbox:
"Dropbox needs to change permissions for the Folder: /Users/[name]/Dropbox
Enter your password to allow this"
I do this and every thing works. I have delinked and reinstalled idropx on my Imac using Big Sur and it still happens

Did you upgrade to Big Sur and perhaps change your username for your Mac device? Could you try installing the app using this link to see if this helps?

I have installed Big Sur but not changed my user name. I did what you suggested and will see if it works. Thanks

I am afraid it did it again on statup this morning
If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link?

Do you have more than 3 devices connected on the account? If not, try the advanced reinstallation and let me know how it goes.
