Links not working - not having permission to create a link to the folder

So I wanted to share some photos with my friend and I can't create links/ or if I get link it says error 404. What can I do ?

Have you tried creating a shared link from another browser or an incognito window by any chance?

I am also having this issue with my Dropbox account. It just started happening in the last few days. Cannot create links. I get an error message saying "Couldn't copy the link. You don't have permission to create a link to this content."

I have not had this issue previously.
