The problem is the interface, not allowing me to access my external drive via the limited DropBox finder interface. So, I need a work-around for that problem. It works if I put it on my local drive, but I only have 1TB and my DropBox is closeto 1.5 TB now, so I need to use my external drive. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm also having this issue, external drives (sata SSD) are mounted, but Dropbox only gives option for '/' directory and not '/sda1/'. Ubuntu 20.04.
EDIT: Solved this issue for my case. I changed the mount point of the other SSD to be within '/'.
I have had no luck using DropBox with additional drives with Linux Mint, MX Linux or Parrot
