Locking Files Shared from Pro version in Non pro Version

Locking Files Shared from Pro version in Non pro Version

New member | Level 2

If I do not have lock file functionality due to standard account.

And someone with pro version shared files and folders with me and they can lock files etc.

Can I, using my standard account still use the lock feature when working on files they have shared with me?

Will this work on the web console and the desktop app?

Hey there @TheAbes, I hope you're well today!

If an account with the locking feature shares a folder with you, it wouldn't allow you access to this feature.

To be able to use file locking, you will need to have a Dropbox plan that has this feature.

Let me know if this helps clarify the matter!
