Logged Into Dropbox on Older Mac and it replaced all my files

Logged Into Dropbox on Older Mac and it replaced all my files

Explorer | Level 3

My laptop had damage so I logged into an older mac. I went to sync dropbox using the dropbox app for mac.

When I went and checked my files everything had been replaced with was on my previous mac?

I have no idea how to recover my current files. Weeks worth of work seem to be gone now.

Dropboxer

Hello there @jamesterr556, I'm sorry to hear about that!

Can you check the version history of one of these reverted files, and see if you can restore the "previous" most up to date version of the file?

Also, would you be able to access your laptop to get the latest versions of the files?

When you next start the laptop, if Dropbox is set to automatically start on system startup, please either force quit the app or pause syncing when it first opens on your computer.

Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there!
