Loosing quality of the pictures

New member | Level 2

I am experiencing lately that I am loosing quality of the pictures and icons once I am saving the document on my Microsoft computer. (Even tho I using / receiving high quality pictures every time I save a document all the previously selected pictures are destroyed.) In the office everyone else has Apple products.. but never had this issue before. Can you help me?

Hi there @Petra Valcsev, I'd be more than happy to help look into this with you.

I'll just need a bit more information, to make sure that I have a better understanding of your concern. For example:

  • How are you uploading these photos? Are you using the website or the desktop app?
  • Are they all the same file type?
  • When you mention "icons", do you mean the thumbnails?

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hey!

I am using the desktop version, so therefore I just "copy / paste" pictures, not really uploading / downloaing from dropbox.

I mean 'icons' from flaticon etc, and I am using normal jpg pictures usually from google.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for getting back to me, @Petra Valcsev

Out of curiosity, are you downloading these photos from the website and then copying-pasting them to your Dropbox folder?

Could you also send me a screenshot (without any personal info) to have a better visual of your concern of:

  • What the icons look like from your end?
  • A comparison of a photo before and after it's added to your Dropbox folder?

Keep me posted!
