For no reason, starting this week, Microsoft Word no longer syncs my word documents properly with dropbox.
I have a Word document on my machine running Windows 7, saved in Dropbox.
When I open Dropbox on my iPhone, the document is up to date. If I try to edit the document in word, it goes back to a previous version.
I have tried testing with newly created documents, and the issue persists.
I have tried signing out of Dropbox and Microsoft 365 and signing back in.
I have tried deleting and re-downloading both the dropbox and Microsoft apps on my iphone
It will show a timestamp in microsoft word that shows the last time the document was saved. It will say "Downloading Recent Changes" and also will have a message confirming the changes have been applied. However, it's a lie. The changes are not the most recent ones.
How do I get word to sync properly with dropbox and open updated versions of my Word files.
I’m sorry to hear about this. What version of our app and iOS are you running? Just want to check that you’re not using any beta versions here.
When you open a document in Word, what are your steps? Do you locate the document in the Dropbox app, and open from there? Are you opening Word, and looking for the document from the Open or Recent menu?
