Missing files - not retraceable in deleted files

New member | Level 2

Since I had a problem with my harddrive last week I had to set it up again completely. I also reconnected to my Dropbox Pro account and synced all of my 250GB data. But I found out that a lot of importand files are missing now! They don't appear on any of my devices (MAC, iPhone, iPad) neither in my online account. They do not appear in the overview of deleted files neither. One or two weeks ago I still accessed some of these files which are now just completely gone!

The only thing that these files and folders seem to have in common is the fact that those were files that have been edited via Photoshop and the been saved in Dropbox. I also found out that CleanMyMac recently caused some sync problems. But CMM should not be able to delete files and folders completely in Dropbox itself. How can I restore my files??? Any ideas are highly appreciated...

Hi @desperate_housewife

Unless they appear in deleted items or at www.dropbox.com/events you cannot recover via Dropbox I'm afraid.

Have you tried searching for the files by name to see if they are in a differnet location?
