Missing my uploaded photos

Missing my uploaded photos

New member | Level 2

Hi, I registered Dropbox few years ago. I have uploaded my photos to Dropbox before. I just realised that I missed all my uploaded photos once I logged in recently. Why the photos missed and Is there any method can I recover all my photos?

Hey @Hinyee; welcome to our Community and sorry to hear about your missing files.

Could you please let me know when is the last time you remember seeing them on our website?

Can you find any sign of them in your account's homepage, the deleted files page or the events page?

Keep me posted on your findings!

Hi, I quite long time do not log in to Dropbox. I think have around one year. Once I logged in last few weeks ago, just realised that all photos are gone. I have checked all signs in the homepage included the deleted file page. And the space used show 0.0% currently.

I also am facing the same issue but the only thing is that I had factory reset my phone and then all my data disappeared without any signs. Now I am unable to find any trace of my data.

Hi @Hinyee, if there are no files in the deleted files page, and any events were outside of 30 days, following the link from my colleague, then it wouldn't be possible to recover any files from your account, unfortunately.

@dr Mukarram, resetting your phone wouldn't affect your Dropbox account in any way. However, it could be possible that you signed into a different Dropbox account if the account is empty.

Could you check the email on your account to see if you have any other Dropbox accounts, perhaps under another email that you own?
