Monitor number of views

I want to be able to monitor how many views a document that I have created a public link for receives. But that's all I want apart from the standard free Dropbox features. I don't want ANY other feature of Dropbox Pro - and £200 per annum is FAR too much for just that one feature. Is there any way I could pay a much smaller amount to just be able to monitor how many views a document gets?

No, that's not possible. You could pass your link though a URL shortener service that provides stats. I think bit.ly offers that, but I'm not certain as it's been a while since I used it.
