My Company Shared Access With Their Dropbox But It's Telling Me To Upgrade!

My Company Shared Access With Their Dropbox But It's Telling Me To Upgrade!

Hello everyone,

My company recently gave me access to their dropbox and my boss (who is located 11 hours ahead overseas) is telling me I have full access to our Dropbox. He said I have to change my settings on Dropbox to my computer's hard drive. So I downloaded the Dropbox app to my desktop, went into preferences and I chose my desktop to have Dropbox sync with. Dropbox is now on my computer but the app and the website are both telling me to upgrade my Dropbox to a business account. However, I am ALREADY logged into a business account, but that account is telling me to upgrade. I have no upload capability and I do not have full access to everything that is in that Dropbox. DOes anyone have any fixes they can share with me? I don't want to have to ask my boss again.

If its telling you to log in to a business account they you are not - you are on a standard (probably free) account. You can check that at www.dropbox.com/account

If your boss wants you on the business account he needs to invite (and pay!) for you to do so. If he is just sharing folders with you then you need to have enough quota and storage to do so.

Can you please send me a screenshot of the message you see on your end asking you to upgrade? (Make sure none of your personal info is visible there)
