My Dropbox folder is taking up my disc space?

Explorer | Level 3

When storing files on my Dropbox it also store it somewhere on my MAC. So now I  get the error message your hard drive is full, use smart sync to free space. But I can not find out how to activate smart sync.

Hey there @Olle,

The Dropbox folder is like any other folder on your computer but with syncing capabilities. This means that contents synced take up space on your hard drive.

You can find more info in this article about Smart Sync and how to use it.

If you have any questions or you'd like help with this, please don't hesitate to get back to me. Thanks!
