My Dropbox is full. What does that mean for me?

New member | Level 2

Hi, I've received an email stating "Dropbox is no longer syncing because it's full."  But does that mean my current files that are on my dropbox can't be accessed?  I have files in my Dropbox that I want others to continue to have access to.

Hey @VCPM, thanks for reaching out to us.

In general, when your account's storage is full, it just means that syncing stops. In other words:

  • You won't be able to add new or edit existing content.
  • Any changes made by other members of shared folders won't be reflected on your end.

Have you checked out your Plan tab for any additional information on what's taking up space?

Let me know what you find, cheers!
