My Dropbox is full so I've deleted things however it's stuck syncing 17,979 files

I received a notification to say my Dropbox was full so I started deleting a number of images and folders to help alleviate the problem. Now I can see that my Dropbox account is currently stuck syncing 17, 979 folders - it has been like this for 2 hours now. Can anyone help please?

Thanks - did this. I have actually upgraded as I think for some reason I was knocked off my payment plan - maybe my card details had changed so they couldn't take payment.  It's bizarre as I seemed to be on a basic package which is not what I thought I was on.

Thank you for all you help

Hi @Sarah M., as it seems like you’ve deleted a rather large number of files, we’d recommend giving the app a bit more time to sync the deletions to the site.

You can try to increase the syncing speed to see if this helps at all.

Let me know how it goes, and if that number decreases at all in time.

Thanks for this - I have a Mac and can't see where it says Bandwidth after clicking on the Dropbox icon at the top of my computer screen? All I can see is for you, recent and notifications.

Once you’ve clicked the Dropbox icon on the menu bar, click the top right avatar/image, and then Preferences > Bandwidth.
