My files have been edited by ransomeware

Hi,

My dropbox files have been edited by ransomeware that shows error prompt when I want to open the file, e.g. Word, PDF. I believe it was caused by ransomeware because when I checked the folder events, thousand of files have been edited on a single date, and on that date my computer was infected. I already re-formatted my computer, but I have no idea that the ransomeware affected my dropbox files too. So how can I undo all the changes without rewind function?
