My files were uploaded after installing the app on Mac Mini

Had Dropbox on an iPad and my phone for sharing music files. Things were going ok. When I installed on Mac mini so I could back up these music files sent from the recording studio Dropbox went and uploaded all my files to the cloud. Never had a chance to choose what I wanted to upload (music only, not all my personal stuff) now it’s always trying to sync between devices. I am not changing or using anything.
How can I stop it from doing this and get the files I don’t want in the cloud deleted from Dropbox but not my computer?

Thanks for any help.       MusicOnly

It sounds like you enabled the computer backup function during the installation.
