My hard drive is almost full despite smart.syncing with dropbox

My harddrive is almost full and I don't understand why, because I'm using smart syncing for my dropbox...so nothing is saved locally. Does anyone know why dropbox is still taking up so much space on my harddrive?

Hey @MAria Wallin, thanks for joining our Community!

Are you using a Mac or a Windows computer?

If you're using a Mac, try enabling the 'Smart sync update for Mac' setting in your account settings, then quit the Dropbox application for 5 minutes and re-launch it, to see if that helps.
