I am new to dropbox and the owner shared a public folder with me and tens of thousands of images, etc. started downloading to my imac and now it maxxed out my HD. I have now turned on online only. My quesiton, can I delete the dropbox everything that downloaded to the dropbox folder safely without affecting anything in the public shared folder.

Re: Dropbox Folder

Dropboxer

Hi @Bgreg, thanks for messaging today!

It sounds like you've either joined a shared folder, or a team folder, which has then begun to sync files to your machine.

If it's a shared folder, you can delete it from your account using these steps. This would remove the files from your account, without affecting anyone else's device or account.

Hope this helps!
