My iMac folder in dropbox, Sync and upload

My iMac folder in dropbox, Sync and upload

Hi,

I installed yesterday dropbox on my iMac and got now a new folder in my dropbox order list (apple logo and my mac as the name of the folder). It seems like my desktop is now part of my dropbox. How can I change the settings and how to delete this folder from my dropbox list? I just don't want the files from my desktop automatically saved in my dropbox.

Thanks for your help!

Go to preferences of your dropbox

Once inside preferences, select SYNC menu

and here you can HIDE FOLDERS you don't want to see in your Dropbox and, below, choose where your Dropbox folder is located.

Hope it helps.

Hey @Mirko1973, I hope you're well today!

From what you mentioned, it sounds like you may have enabled the computer backup feature, to backup your desktop.

Please check out the steps towards the bottom of this article to disable the backup.

Let me know how it goes!
