Need assistance - Elderly mother's account, no access to old email nor does she know password

My mother, whom we have moved in with us, has an older phone.   The good thing, Dropbox is setup there, but no password is rememberd.   I created her a new account on a new device, but can't get the two merged.   Can't get dropbox pics and files to her new account.   She is elderly with demintia and I am trying to get these photos over to an account with a working email and password.   Please help!

Hey @gmaconnie, let's see what we can do here. 

Have you made sure to turn camera uploads on?

Could you also make sure that there's enough space for all the photos to be added to the account?
