Not updating from desktop, but does from laptop

Not updating from desktop, but does from laptop

I have an excel file on Dropbox.  In the past when I changed something in the spreadsheet and saved it, Dropbox would show file updated a moment ago or the time since the update.  It stopped doing that and the file is no longer current.  However, it still updates when I do the data entry on the laptop.  What gives?

Hi @FrankD1018, happy Wednesday!

If I understand this correctly, when you change the file on your laptop, it updates without issue.

However, when you try to change it using your desktop device, you don't see the changes, right?

Can you let me know the syncing status, and version you're using on the desktop?

Let me know more!

No, I can't find the sync status or the version.  When I click on the icon it brings up Dropbox.  When I right click, nothing happens.  I looked at the help screen on how to find sync status and none of the steps fit what I have.

Hi @FrankD1018, are you clicking the Dropbox icon on the system tray/menu bar?
