Nothing happens when I try to remove someone from a shared file

Explorer | Level 3

I have a file which is shared between 37 people. I need to remove 5 of these people from the shared folder so I've gone through all the usual steps and I click remove then remove again after selecting whether they get to keep the file- then nothing happens- they remain within the folder! I've tried it with all 5 members and the same thing happens! What's going wrong?!

Hey there @HJH2,

As a first step, can you try using a different web browser and even an incognito window to see if this does the trick?

Also, can you try clearing the browser's cache to and trying the action of removing the members again to see if the behaviour persists?

Should you still be getting the same results as you explained above, can you just confirm what access permissions you have within the shared folder? Either editor, viewer or owner of the folder.

Let me know how it goes!

Ok- I’ve tried 2 other browsers and cleared the cache of the original browser and no luck!
I’m the owner of the folder.
I’ve also tried 2 different computers so I know it’s not an issue with that. What else could be the issue?

Hi @HJH2,

Do you follow the next sequence: Click on 'Share' - изображение.png, after that select "Remove my access":

You are not an owner, so you can manage everything.

If you are owner then select 'Remove':

Hope this helps.
