Offline content wiped by Dropbox upgrade

Offline content wiped by Dropbox upgrade

A recent upgrade to 218.2.2 (android) started some "migration" work, which resulted in wiping all offline folders and files -  subdirectories to /Android/data/com.dropbox.android all gone. This happened on my tablet - checking on my mobile started the same migration process ending with no offline content as well.  Help please!

Noticed that permissions (e.g. storage etc) had been removed by the Dropbox update.  Put the permissions back and reordered the offline files.  Still not working!

Added the folders and files manually and the reordered the offline.  Worked - until I reboot the device.  Everything below com.dropbox.android has disappeared again!

Tried downgrading to 216.2.2 but same problem.  Files cannot be resubmitted "offline" but if added with file mgr ok until the device is rebooted - then deleted.  Beats me - help!

After an update that occured to the Android app last year, you can no longer directly access Offline Files through the Android file system.
