I previously was able to have a choice of 'finder' under the 'open with' tab. I am running Mac High Sierra, I haven't upgraded. I cleared cookies, restarted, logged out of Drop Box several times and the 'finder' option is still not available. Is there any fix for this? TIA.

Hey there @TBSC - how are you today?
Firstly, could you check if your desktop app is running and preferably show 'Up to date'? If you don't see this message, could you tell me what it reads? If you're missing the desktop app's icon from your menu bar you may need to re-install our software too to resolve this issue.
If you've ensured that the above requirements are met (and the file itself is synced onto your computer), I'd suggest that you give another browser (or even an incognito window without any extensions or plugins running) a go; merely as a next troubleshooting step.
Let me know of any updates!

This is not a solution. I'm having the same issue and I'm trying to find a way to fix this.
Welcome to our Community @ohernan6!
I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue too; could you provide some additional information so I can investigate?
What browser are you seeing this on and have you tried any others? What are the options you see there; could you forward me a screenshot perhaps?
In addition, is the desktop app running on the affected device and if so, what's its exact status?
Feel free to include any additional piece of information if you feel it might help paint a better picture of the issue you're experiencing.
Thank you in advance.

Same issue here:
When viewing dropbox files from the Safari browser (Safari v 13.0 and now Safari v14.0.2) I can no longer see the "Show in Finder" or 'Open in Word" / "Open in Adobe Acrobat" options for files.
I also have Chrome installed on my Mac (Version 87.0.4280.88 ) and I can confirm that these DO work on Chrome. See pics below.
These items used to show in Safari, however it seems that this has stopped working for many of us.
I first posted about this back in September 2019 and after a lot of discussion and no resolution the thread is now locked.
I've looked at the help file "The Open button - why it may not appear" and confirm that all conditions are met - except now in Safari 14 Flash is no longer supported. Does this mean that "Open in Finder" and Open in Word/Adobe etc will not be supported on Safari moving forward or is Dropbox planning to solve this for it's Mac users who porefer to use Safari as their default browser?
Thanks,
Scott
