When I try to look at a certain files photos, it just just shows up with a weird stock image of a white back ground with two grey triangles and a grey circle above it. What does this mean?

If you're not seeing an option to upload a file beneath your reply's box when responding, you can share a link to your screenshot instead @Gandalffmist.
While we re at it, can you clarify if you're on a desktop device or a mobile one?
Can you view those files normally on your machine after downloading them from our website?

Just to make sure that we're on the same page, are you able to open the photos by tapping on them (on the mobile app) or click on them (on the website)?
