Poor quality photo uploads

Explorer | Level 3

I uploaded 40 files to a dropbox file and mistakingly sent them from Lightroom in a reduced size format (20000K).

I tried to resend the photos, overwriting the export with the change to full format.

Everytime I check the file in Dropbox they still have very poor quality.

I have uploaded MANY times before, so I know that they can be uploaded.

Is it possible that Dropbox has not properly deleted the files?  I tried deleting them and also permanently deleting them but I am still getting crappy photos!

Hi @Barbhav - welcome to the Community!

Could you let me know how are you uploading those files to begin with?

For example, are you using the desktop app and working on your Dropbox Folder, or merely using the website?

If you're exporting those files from Lightroom directly, could you walk me through the exact steps you take to do this?

Any additional information will be much appreciated so feel free to add anything you may find of use. Thanks!

I thought I had replied to you but apparently I needed to use this format.

I have used Dropbox many times this week and every time the photos were uploaded properly in full format until yesterday.

The files are being uploaded from Creative Cloud's Lightroom.

My files, which are normally in the 11 MB range are now all being uploaded in the 262KB range.  I tried uploading new files and no matter what I do they are all small files and very poor quality.

Please advise ... I have clients waiting uploads!

Thanks

Barbara

This won't be anything to do with Dropbox, especially since you're using Lightroom to do the upload. Dropbox is simply a storage medium, and will accept the files in whatever quality they're in when uploaded. It doesn't modify your files.

You'll need to look to Lightroom to resolve this.
