Preview jpg files stopped working--image never appears

Preview jpg files stopped working--image never appears

Explorer | Level 4

When I click on the file name of a jpg file, the image used appear in the same window. Now the image attempts to appear, but never does.  Three cycling horizontal dots indicate it is processing endlessly.

 

However a friend with a link to the folder of jpgs is able to preview the images.

 

Is there a fix?

Can you please clear your browser's cache and let me know if this persists? 

 

In case it does, could you try another browser as well?

@Walter, Thank you for the tips. After I posted, but before I saw your suggestion, the preview began working partially, with some jpgs visible and some not. Today (the next day), all of the jpgs "automatically" began behaving with no intervention on my part. 

 

I do see that another user replied to say your idea worked for them. If the problem occurs again, I will be sure to empty my browser catche as you suggest to see if that fixes the problem.
