Problem with windows 10 and dropbox syncing

Hi everyone!

 

My dropbox is stuck "Syncing..." ...  All files in my Dropbox are shown with blue sync badges. Having this issue across both my windows 10 laptop and desktop.. Has been like this the past week.

 

I have been able to resolve this temporaily by uninstalling dropbox and deleting the entire dropbox folder where all my content sits on my harddrive.. Once reinstalled, my dropbox will download everything from the cloud and everything seems to work as normal.. But the next time I restart the computer, it will be back at the "Syncing..." status with nothing happening, both for uploads and downloads..

 

Please help!

Thanks for reaching out here @tfung, let's see what we can do!

You mentioned that all files are showing the syncing icon , do you see this icon on just the folders, or all the files within the folders too?

Also, is it possible that you have symlinks within your Dropbox folder? Symlinks can cause a number of syncing issues, and you can check for these with the steps in point 7 of this article.
