I have a large shared dropbox. One user had problems with the desktop Dropbox app, and accidentally deleted over 100,000 files. I'm attempting to restore these files using the restore feature from "deleted files". I get a progress bar when trying to restore them, and I get a message that says "1 file restored successfully". It's not restoring them all.
Does this just take time? Is something wrong? Some files have returned but others have not.
I’m sorry to hear about this, let’s see what we can do to recover those files.
Were some of the files in shared folders? Are you or the user the owner of the shared folder? Did the user instead unshare the folder entirely? If so, this could mean it isn't possible to restore everything through the deleted files page.
Does the events page show the recovered files, or the deletion itself?
