Today is the second time that my pc attacked with ransomware virus.

As a result all the dropbox files changed and are useless

My question is, why dropbox not doing anything when see that all the files are changing.

It could do it and stop syncing or terminate so the files stay untouchable to the server for later recovery.

Mega and Onedrive doing this, they terminated.

But dropbox changed all the files everywhere with a smile and happy about how quickly it did it.

Hi @kousinovalis, thanks for reaching out to us about this.

The Dropbox folder on your computer is just like any other folder on your hard drive, but with syncing capabilities.

However, I do understand how important this is for you and I wanted to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on this with us.

In the meantime, you can check out this article which mentions a few ways to keep your account safe if you've been affected by ransomware.

Let me know if you have any other questions, thanks!
