Recover a folder deleted two months ago

Hello All,

I accidentally deleted a folder two months ago that contains important files. My account is not upgraded to the professional tier, I know that only files deleted within the past 30 days can be restored. However, this folder is shared by another user that uses the professional tier service, given this, can we still restore that deleted folder?

Hello there @likai1993, thanks for reaching out to us. 

 

Have you checked your Sharing tab in case you still have access to it? 

 

If you do find it, you can try adding it back to your account. 

 

If it's not listed there, but the other user still has access to it, they can try inviting you to it again.

Hi Lusil,

Thanks for your reply, I accidentally deleted a sub-folder in our shared folder, the shared folder is still can be accessed. However, the deleted sub-folder is gone on any shared accounts. We need to recover the sub-folder.

Hi Lusil, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried to find the sub-folder in the 'deleted files' section but could not find it. I remember the sub-folder was deleted two months (around 60-80 days) ago.

Depending on your plan, you can recover files within:

  • 30 days, if you're on a Basic/Plus account. 
  • 180 days, if you're on a Professional/Business account. 

If you're not sure which subscription, you can check your Plan tab

 

For this reason, if the owner is on a Basic or Plus subscription, and the folder was deleted more than 30 days ago, they won't be able to restore it.
