Recovering Access to Folders

Recovering Access to Folders

Jeremy T
New member | Level 2

Hi

I am wanting to recover access to a shared folder. The person who owns the folder - no longer part of our organisation - cannot remember how to give me access to the folder. Is there anyway I can become the owner of the folder, instead of them, and so have access once again?

Hi @Jeremy T

I'm afraid not, the only person who can transfer ownership of a folder is the owner itself - i.e. the person who set it up unless they've already given access to somebody else.

Probably the easiest and quickest fix is to just set up a new share.
