Renamed a folder on the site, but it hasn't synced to my computer

Renamed a folder on the site, but it hasn't synced to my computer

New member | Level 2

Hi, I changed a folder name online and it removed the previously named folder from my desktop but did not update to the new name.  The new folder is available online and shows as a folder to sync in 'selective syncing' (I have tried turning that off and back on but it doesn't solve the issue).  Also have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Dropbox but again no joy.

 

Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Hi @Stephen C.46, thanks for posting today!

 

It can take some time for files to sync from the site. Could you check first of all that the folder doesn't have any incompatible characters in it that can prevent it from syncing?

 

Try checking this article for other reasons why the folder isn't syncing to the computer.
