I do business through Dropbox and there are many shared files and folders. So, over the years it’s become a mess as my business grew. I need to do a major reorganization. I have some folders on my main Dropbox level with project names shared with people and I also have active and inactive projects organized into folders based on the team working on the project. So, for example, I am John and my coworker Jane and I are working on several projects... “John and Jane” would be a shared folder name and there might be 10 folders and various files inside the folder that pertain to various projects. I would like to archive projects as they are completed.
Will i be unable to move documents Jane has contributed? And if I move them to an archive folder outside the share folder, I assume Jane will then lose access, right? This could be okay as the projects are closed but will I be able to move documents she created?
Any tips on this major reorganization?
