Request files not visible in my Dropbox folder, only when I press 'request files' button

Explorer | Level 3

Hello, hoping someone can help me!

For some reason, requested files are not visible in file I created in Dropbox, I have to click on 'Requested Files' to see them in that folder. This is tricky as I need to use these files, and when importing, can't see them.

Can someone help?

Thanks,

Carla

Hey @cbendall, we're here to help! Let's see what we can find.

Are you not able to find the file on the website, the desktop app, or the mobile app?

Also, could you double-check that you're looking at the relevant destination folder?

Give me a nudge whenever you have the chance to check these out, thanks!

Hi Lusil,

Thanks for your response. Basically it looks like I have 2 folders. I set up a folder in my normal Dropbox, and then requested files for that folder (which I have done before). However, the files ppl are submitted are not showing in that folder, however when I click on file requests, the folder is there. So essentially I have one folder that sits empty, and another (under file requests) includes files. I just want to be able to view files from folder I set up without having to click on file requests. Does this make sense?

Hi @cbendall!

It does sound strange indeed, the folder that you set up the file request for should be an active folder in your Dropbox account.

Could you just do a quick search in your account online for this folder name, to see if you get multiple results there?
