SVG images not rendered in Paper when not logged in

Explorer | Level 4

I have an issue whereby SVG images are rendered if I preview my Paper document while I'm logged in but they show up as broken links when I'm not logged in. (Also, the whole preview layout is different and I suspect it has something to do with the HTML generated for the layout that breaks the SVG images.)

Can we get that fixed?

Hi @surfintheusa ; thanks for using Paper!

I'm sorry to hear about this and thanks for your report.

Let me give you some additional context on this now:

Even though the error message you'll see is saying “we couldn’t find this image” (or something similar), the actual root cause behind this issue is that we don’t support previewing SVG files on our website at this time.

Apologies for any confusion this might have caused and also note that our team is working on this.

In the meantime, you can convert your SVG files to a file-type we support for previewing or use a different format to begin with.

I know it's far from optimal but this should do the trick!

If you have any questions or anything to add, please let me know.
